John Steven has been a master machinist for over 35 years, and has a unique perspective on metals, and the concept of "metal in motion". Mr. Steven is very particular about the quality of his work, paying great attention to detail, as evidenced in the seamless lines and beautiful finishes on each piece. 

John's meticulously crafted kinetic sculptures are mesmerizing, creating a sense of tranquility through fluid movement. People often stop to watch one of John's sculptures in motion, and end up standing, transfixed, for long moments of time.

Mr. Steven lives and works in Broomfield CO, where his family has owned and operated J & D Machine Technology for over 40 years. He has been married for 34 years, has three grown children, and is a patented inventor. Mr Steven also serves on the Board of Hope House Colorado, a Denver non profit organization helping teen mothers become self sufficient.
